HH Pope Tawadros II, Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of the see of St. Mark, confirmed to Al-Masry Al-Youm that he is in good health and that hie is now in the process of recuperating after the Back operation he underwent recently and then he will return to Egypt.
Church sources told Al-Masry Al-Youm that His Holiness Pope Twadros II, is currently recovering in a hospital in Munich, Germany after undergoing a spinal surgery on Thursday, the sources indicated that the operation was a success, but his holiness is undergoing intensive treatment and rest in the hospital under the supervision of a German doctor and an Egyptian doctor.
Fr. Boulos Halim, the official spokesman of the Coptic Orthodox Church, said that His Holiness was suffering from severe back pain. He sent a statement of condemnation for elRowda Mosque attack, from the hospital, not only that, but he also sent a voice message to announce his support for the families of the nation’s martyrs as he is outside the country.
