Principles – «A New Victory» – Saturday, 15th of October, 2016

   Let’s proceed with our talk about the 6 October celebrations. We spoke in the previous article about the 6 October victory that offered us heroic accounts declaring 7 thousand years of Egypt’s civilization and voicing the valiance of its people who stood together and faced tribulations to the amusement of all nations. They destroyed the legend of Bar Lev line passing through Suez Canal crushing defeat and suppressing the malicious rumors about their weakness that aimed at frustrating their efforts and sapping their morale.

   We should realize that it is not just about the past victory, it is rather a path we should walk toward a new future made by the Egyptians. We cannot turn a blind eye to the harsh conditions prevailing over our country at this critical time and urging us to unite our efforts and choose to walk a new path and make a new victory, let me call it “A victory over the current state”. We are in a dire need of overcoming the current crises through:

• Collaboration

   Wide gaps may terribly break the bonds between members of the one family. Thus, we should always remember that we are members of one family and one nation. When united, we resemble a band that plays the most harmonious music the world has ever listened to.

   It is not the first time that Egypt stumbles. She has faced many afflictions, yet stood strong through all difficulties. Nevertheless, she ended up stronger. Egypt will remain powerful thanks to her sincere, hard working and united people. Many countries have faced difficulties and they ended up unknown and marginalized. On the other hand, other countries have faced wars and destruction. The whole world thought that this was their end; however people of those countries collaborated to restore their positions among top countries. We have to choose to what sort of countries we want to belong.

Don’t use desperate words

Alice Walker, the American writer and activist, once said, “The most common way people give up their power is by thinking they don’t have any.”

   During the events taking place after the 1967 attack and War of Attrition, the propaganda that Israel broadcasted, in order to sell the unreal image of its invincible army and undefeatable line to the world that bought it, could have been able to ruin the Egyptian determination … to be continued
