On October 15, 2017, a failed attack by terrorists on an ambush in the area of Qarm al-Qawadis in Arish resulted in the martyrdom of six members of the armed forces, including the martyr Bishoy Shohdi Abdul Masih.

He was rushed to hospital where he martyred as a hero and a defender of his ambush, colleagues and land.
