Foreword
The Triple Beatified His Holiness Pope Shenouda III set principles and constants for an ideal journalist, along 14 articles published at Al Keraza Magazine in 1975 from September till December; they included directions and instructions regarding the ideal journalistic activity.
An ideal journalist shall be a message bearer, known for honesty and circumspection, indifferent to the clamor may be caused by his articles or news, but rather he shall care about the benefit the readers obtain. He shall be neutral, of a blameless style, of a blameless tongue, of blameless articles and he shall introduce bright notions. He shall not lie or fake news, nor change the truth, maintaining one fixed clear path.
For such journalist, fame seeks him without him seeking it, he has lofty goals which are respected by people, and his writings are of an exciting topic. He shall be a modest person, presenting the depth and core of his knowledge in humbleness and meekness.
For benefiting the readers of this collection of useful articles, we decided to republish them in such critical period as media is greatly influencing; it may be the reason of saving a country or making a disaster.

أرسى مثلث الرحمات قداسة البابا شنوده الثالث مبادئ وثوابت للصحفي المثالي في 14 مقالاً نشرها قداسته بمجلة الكرازة عام 1975 فى الفترة من سبتمبر إلى ديسمبر، وقد تضمنت إرشادات وتوجيهات تختص بالعمل الصحفي المثالي.
فالصحفي المثالي هو صاحب رسالة، يتميز بالصدق والدقة، لا يهتم بالضجيج الذى تحدثه مقالاته أو أخباره، إنما يهتم بالفائدة التي تعود من ورائها على قرائه. وهو أيضاً إنسان محايد، عف القلم، عف اللسان، عف المقال، يقدم أفكاراً مشرقة. لا يكذب ولا يخترع أخباراً، ولا يغير الحقيقة وله طريق واحد واضح ثابت.
هذا الصحفى تسعى إليه الشهرة دون أن يسعى هو إليها، وله أهداف سامية يحترمها الناس، بالإضافة إلى كتاباته في موضوعات شيقة. هو إنسان متواضع، يقدم عمق العلم وخلاصته في إتضاع قلب وفي غير إفتخار.
ومن أجل الفائدة التى ستتاح لكل من يقرأ هذه المجموعة من المقالات المفيدة قررنا أن نعيد نشرها لتتم الإستفادة منها فى هذا الوقت الدقيق الهام الذي أصبح فيه الإعلام مؤثراً إلى درجة أنه قد يتسبب في إنقاذ الوطن أو صنع كارثة.
