Foreword:
“The Role of the Youth in Building Egypt’s Future” is a training cultural program presented to the youth of the Arab Republic of Egypt’s governorates. The program was executed by “The Youth and Community Development Committee of the Egyptian Family House”, under the patronage of His Eminence Grand Imam of Al Azhar Prof. Dr. Ahmed al Tayyib, His Holiness Pope Tawadros, Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of the See of St. Mark, Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Hamdi Zaqzouq, the former Awqaf Minister, and the Secretary General of the Egyptian Family House, Eng. Khaled Abdel Aziz, the Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, and Bishop Ermia.
The program is prepared and executively supervised by Prof. Dr. Aida Nassif, Professor of Philosophy at Cairo University, and the Assistant Rapporteur of the Youth Committee of the Egyptian Family House. The Youth and Community Development Committee of the Egyptian Family House, in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports’ Central Administration of Parliament and Civil Education, prepared and worked for the conference to achieve its aim of training and educating youth on three axes: spiritual, economic and cultural.
Also participating in the program was a group of university professors who had a great role in providing the youth with informed thought. The first Undersecretary of the Ministry of Youth Affairs participated in the program, as well as a number of senior scholars, sheikhs and priests, through five courses in Alexandria, Luxor, Cairo and Fayoum, with youth participants from 16 governorates.
We introduce this book a step along the path that our beloved country Egypt has pursued to raise the awareness and culture of the youth, which is the foundation of the country future, under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi, who believes that: “Youth is the true wealth of our country, upon whom we lay great hopes concerning overcoming the crises and heading towards its bright future, especially as Egypt has begun a new and serious phase on the road to development.” Hopefully, the book would be useful for those who did not have the opportunity to participate in the activities of this program. May God save our country Egypt and protect it from all evil.
