Grand Imam of Al Azhar Ahmed El Tayyeb led a high-level delegation consisting the country’s Mufti Shawqi Allam, the Awqaf minister and senior Islamic scholars to greet H.H. Pope Tawadros II Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of Saint Mark Diocese and the Egyptian Copts on Christmas.
H.H. Pope Tawadros said: “Love gather us and feasts are a chance to express this love”. The talked about the importance of education because it is a kind of immunity for young people, and pointed out that the cultural atmosphere will contribute in changing a lot of negatives in the society and will take us to the desired progress of the nation.
In a good gesture, H.H. Holiness pope Tawadros surprised The Grand Imam, and gave him a commemorative plaque containing a set of roses, for his birthday.
