Essam Lutfi father of Mina accused Al Ahly club of religious Discrimination against his child, after coaches of youth team refused that his child enter the final stage of selection after passing four tests despite asking him to come to contest the final test with 10 to 15 other children for the goalkeeping position after filtering 250 child. He was surprised when they refused that Mina enter the test and his father ran round with the management and clashed verbally with the heads of the sector.
Mr. Essam added that his child has been left out of the final list because of his christian name Mina causing him to scream at the club that he would not change his child name to be accepted in the team and a number of the club members sympathized with him and pushed him not to abdicate his right. He expressed his sadness for dealing with his son in a bad way, noting that he hoped that his child undergo the test even for 30 seconds and then be excluded as his son was going to accept this as part of the competition and sportsmanship and will not be psychologically affected.

Mina could not control his tears as he spoke in a TV programm in a tradidic way about his experience within the club and spoke words that outweigh his age and stresses that his dream is destroyed and turned to a nightmare because of his religion and name.
