We spoke at the previous article about Ella, the little girl who did good that led to restoring one of the homeless to his family. As for the little boy, Osten, who still offers his food to the homeless once a week instead of buying a gift for himself. Hence the role of all of them was effective. Tana reunited her family, Ella’s help extended to another family, while Osten has offered good to his community.
There are a lot of children international deeds, ” Rachel Beckwith”, a girl who did not exceeded age nine, and though she he learnt the meaning of humanity and the value of man. This little girl knew that many people in different places in the world especially in Africa who are in need of clean drinkable water. She was truly sad over them and she wrote on her Facebook page:“On June 12th 2011, I’m turning 9. I found out that millions of people don’t live to see their 5th birthday. And why? Because they didn’t have access to clean, safe water so I’m celebrating my birthday like never before. I’m asking from everyone I know to donate to my campaign instead of gifts for my birthday. Every penny of the money raised will go directly to fund freshwater projects in developing nations.”
Rachel wished she could collect 300 dollars for the sake of offering clean water for 15 persons but she managed to collect 220 dollars with the approaching of her birthday.
On 20th of July, a month and half following her birthday party; she had an accident during her trip with her mother and sister. The mother and the sister had non-serious injuries, while Rachel had lost her life before continuing her humane work. The story has not ended yet it had a new start; the church’s pastor has declared Rachel’s wish and reopened the internet page that Rachel and her mother had opened to collect donations so that though she departed from our world, her charitable deed remains the light that leads many of philanthropists and good doers to donate and alleviate the pain of the rest of human beings. The donations has reached 1,271,713 dollars on the first of October, 2011.This donation has reached 31, 980 persons all over the world so that the memory of such little girl, who offered great love, remains in the hearts of the young and old after the arrival of clean water to them; a dream that came true after her departure, to be continued…
