Mohammed Badr governor of Luxor, Major General Essam Hemaly Police chief of Luxor, a number of executive, security leaders and residents participated in the celebrations of St. “George” festive in Reziegat Mount, Armant Center amid tight security from military and policemen.
The governor and director of Security were welcomed by Pontifical Committee delegated to supervise St. George monastery in Reziegat, headed by Anba Hedra Bishop of Aswan, Anba Morcos Bishop of Shubra Al Khaimah and related accessories, Anba Beyman Bishop of Nakada and Qus, Anba Youaanas Bishop of Assiut and monk Thomas El-Ruzaiqi supervisor of St. George monastery in Reziegat.
The celebrations of Martyr St. George in Reziegat Mount, which is held annually is taking place from November 10 until November 17 in his monastery in Reziegat village in Armant, which is located south-west of Luxor, amid tight security at the monastery entrances and exits, and patrols of security forces, civilian protection, fire trucks and bomb disposal forces.
