In the previous article we tackled the influence of kind words on people and how they can change them to the best. The pathway of life is not easy and it is full of the thorns of troubles, only would kind words remove these thorns and encourage us to keep going. Kind words soothe the pain and turn currents of anger from a sad symphony to energy of creation that illuminates the word.
Bible says “Therefore, to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin.” We should not hesitate to do good as long we can. If there are kind words I can say to any person, I would say it now without any hesitation or neglect as maybe I cannot meet this person again”
Kind words remind me of a story happened long ago about a poor person that used to play the violin at one of the bridges in London. He was playing his violin standing alone while sadness and pain left their signs on his face. One day a strange man came to him. The poor man thought that he would give him money, however he took the violin and play on it so beautiful tones that people gathered to listen. People were astonished out of the music’s charm even if the police man who came to disperse the gathering stood still when he listened to the beauty of the music. Suddenly, someone whispered that this was the great violinist “Niccolo Paganini”, one of the most prominent violinists in history. Kind words resemble playing on the chords of life to make people happy.
The lecturer stood before his students asking them about the weight of a glass full of water. Their answers ranged from 50 to 500 grams. However, he told them that it is not holding the glass in itself but rather how long I hold it. If I hold it for a minute I will not feel tired, but if for an hour, I would feel pain and if for a day, I would need an ambulance and at the three conditions the weight of the glass did not change. The glass resembles our burdens we need to take them off our shoulder for some time to be able to keep going. Those burdened people are in dire need to hear kind words. They say, “Kind words make the hearts of those who travel with us in the journey of pain grow happier” to be continued
