It is considered one of the most important elements of success. It is the synonym of motivation. It also represents a sign on the road that indicates you are walking in the right path. It creates a positive energy that pushes a person to success. When you encourage a person, you are breaking his negative energies of fear that may handicap his pursuit toward success. They say that whoever lives in fear, would never be free. Fear imprisons man and handicaps his natural abilities. Moreover, it increases determination and eagerness to exert efforts to achieve goals.
Once I met someone who was so brilliant at Mathematics. When I wondered about the reason behind her amazing Mathematical talent; she said that her teacher once encouraged her despite her low grades at Math. She told her she could definitely get the full mark next time, if she exerted more effort and she did so and got the full mark in her last year at prep school thanks to her teacher’s motivation.
I reflected on her words and found out that the secret of soul’s power is in motivation. It can break the barriers of fear and lack of self-trust. Motivation confirms that “you can do it”. It resembles a good boatman who can use the wind for his own benefit till he reaches the shore of success without letting his boat to be broken on the rocks of distress and afflictions. Distrusting your potential would close doors to your possible achievements.
What if Edison had found no motivation from his mother? I think we would have been waiting in darkness for another inventor of electric lamp or another Edison till now.
Moreover, encouragement let the unreasonable justifications for not being able to do something fade away. One of the reasons to failure is putting inventing justifications and imagining illusionary obstacles to justify one’s inability to do something. When encouragement is there, justifications fade away.
It is noteworthy that encouragement should be for fulfilling one’s role whether small or big. It should not be only a sort of unreal praise or hypocrisy. People encourage one another to continue what they begin till it turns into a great achievement. To be continued
