Following her visit to St. Mark Cathedral German Chancellor Angela Merkel headed to al-Botrosya Church in Abbassiya, where she stood a minute of silence and put a white rose on Martyrs memorial panel.
Merkel was accompanied by their Eminences Anba Moussa Bishop of youth, Anba Raphael General Bishop of downtown Cairo Churches and Holy Synod secretary, Anba Daniel Bishop of Maadi and Basatin, Fr. Angelios Isaac and Fr. Ammonius Adel secretaries of the Pope, Fr. Boulos Halim, spokesman of the Coptic Orthodox Church, Ms. Barbara head of Pontifical Office for Projects and relations and global expert Eng. Hany Azer.
